Blood Sugar - Type 2 Diabetes

Blood Sugar/Type 2 Diabetes Type 2 diabetes is a condition that happens because of a problem in the way the body regulates and uses sugar as a fuel. That sugar also is called glucose. This long-term condition results in too much sugar circulating in the blood.

Eventually, high blood sugar levels can lead to disorders of the circulatory, nervous and immune systems. In type 2 diabetes, there are primarily two problems. The pancreas does not produce enough insulin — a hormone that regulates the movement of sugar into the cells. And cells respond poorly to insulin and take in less sugar.

 Symptoms
Symptoms of type 2 diabetes often develop slowly. In fact, you can be living with type 2 diabetes for years and not know it. When symptoms are present, they may include:
  • Increased thirst.
  • Frequent urination.
  • Increased hunger.
  • Unintended weight gain
  • Fatigue.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Slow-healing sores.
  • Frequent infections.
  • Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet.
  • Areas of darkened skin, usually in the armpits and neck.

 Root causes

DIET!!!!!!!!

Type 2 diabetes is mainly the result of two problems:
Cells in muscle, fat and the liver become resistant to insulin As a result, the cells don't take in enough sugar.

The pancreas can't make enough insulin to keep blood sugar levels within a healthy range. Exactly why this happens is not known. Being overweight and inactive are key contributing factors.

 Nutritional Support Items

ESSENTIAL:

  • Alpha-lipoic acid (NS Alpha Lipoic Acid: For treatment of peripheral nerve damage in diabetic patients. Helps control blood sugar levels. Take as directed on label.
  • Chromium picolinate (EQ Chromium Picolinate): Chromium picolinate improves insulin’s efficiency, which lowers blood sugar levels.  Caution: If you have diabetes, consult with your physician before taking any supplement containing chromium. For chromium picolinate, take 400–600 mcg daily.
  • Ginger (NS Ginger 2 capsules with meals): Helps to decrease and stabilize blood sugar levels. Enhances immunity and improves circulation. Take as directed on label.
  • L-carnitine, plus L-glutamine, plus taurine: L-carnitine mobilizes fat, L-glutamine reduces the craving for sugars, and taurine aids in the release of insulin. For L-carnitine, take 500 mg twice daily, on an empty stomach. Take with water or juice. Do not take with milk. Take with 50 mg vitamin B6 and 100 mg vitamin C for better absorption. For L-carnitine, take 500 mg twice daily on an empty stomach. For L-glutamine, take 500 mg twice daily, on an empty stomach. For taurine, take 500 mg twice daily, on an empty stomach.
  • Quercetin (NS Eye Therapy 2 caps 2-3 times daily): Helps protect the membranes of the lens of the eyes from accumulations of polyols as a result of high glucose levels. Take 100 mg 3 times daily.
  • Raw adrenal glandular, and raw pancreas glandular, and thyroid glandular: (NS Adrenal TLP OR NS Endocrine & Pancreas) Aids in rebuilding and nourishing these organs. For all, take 2 caps 3 times daily.
  • Vanadium (NS Diabetic Formula): Aids insulin’s ability to move glucose into the cells.  Take as directed on label.
  • Vitamin B complex, plus extra biotin, and inositol (EQ B Complex, AI B Complex): The B vitamins work best when taken together. Extra biotin improves the metabolism of glucose and inositol is important for circulation. For vitamin B complex, take 50 mg of each major B vitamin (thiamine and riboflavin) 3 times daily. Amounts of individual vitamins in a complex will vary. Do not exceed 35 mg niacin, 100 mg vitamin B6 , and 1,000 mcg folate daily. For extra biotin, take 50 mg daily. For inositol, take 50 mg daily.
  • Vitamin B12 plus folic acid (AI B12 Folate): Needed to prevent diabetic neuropathy. Take as directed on label.
  • Zinc(EQ Zinc): Deficiency has been associated with diabetes. Take up to 40 mg daily.

VERY IMPORTANT:

  • Coenzyme Q10 (EQ CQ10, FGF CoMega): Improves circulation and stabilizes blood sugar.  Take 80 mg daily.
  • Magnesium (NS Magnesium Complex): Important for enzyme systems and pH balance. Protects against coronary artery spasm in arteriosclerosis. Increases energy levels. Low readings of magnesium are often found in people with diabetes, and are associated with the complications of eye disease. Those who eat a healthy diet rich in foods with magnesium such as whole grains and nuts are less likely to develop diabetes. Take up to 350 mg daily.
  • Manganese (NS Manganese Plus 2 caps 3 times daily, NS Endocrine & Pancreas 2 caps 3 times daily): Needed for repair of the pancreas. Also a cofactor in key enzymes of glucose metabolism. Deficiency is common in people with diabetes. Take 5–10 mg daily. Take separately from calcium.
  • Psyllium husks (NS Ultra Colon Cleanse 4 caps with warm to hot water at bedtime): Good fiber source and fat mobilizer. Take as directed on label. Take with a large glass of water. Take separately from other supplements and medications.
  • Vitamin D (AI Vitamin D3, EQ D3): Helps maintain good blood flow in patients with diabetes. Take 10–20 mcg (400–800 IU) daily.

IMPORTANT:

  • Vitamin A with carotenoids (NS Eye Therapy 2 caps 2-3 times daily, BL Total Nutrition Plus): An important antioxidant needed to maintain the health of the eyes. Take up to 3,000 mcg (10,000 IU) daily. If you are pregnant, do not exceed 3,000 mcg (10,000 IU) daily.
  • Vitamin C (NS Liposomal Vitamin C): Deficiency may lead to vascular problems in people with diabetes. Vitamin C may slow or prevent complications that occur in diabetes. Take up to 2,000 mg daily.
  • Vitamin E (EQ Initial Vitamin E): Improves circulation and prevents complications through its antioxidant properties. Take 90 mg (200 IU) daily.

HELPFUL:

  • Calcium (NS Coral Calcium): Important for pH balance. Always take calcium with vitamin D. The combination at levels near or slightly above the DRI has been shown to prevent diabetes. Be sure to get calcium and vitamin D from foods (dairy products are the best sources of both) and supplements. Take 1,500 mg daily.
  • Copper (EQ Zinc plus Copper): Aids in protein metabolism and in many enzyme systems. Take as directed on label. Do not exceed 10 mg daily.
  • Maitake extract: May help to normalize blood sugar levels. Take 1–4 gm (1,000–4,000 mg) daily.
  • Multienzyme complex (NS Digestive Enzymes 2 with each meal, plus NS Proteolytic enzymes 1-2 between meals): To aid digestion. Proper digestion is essential in management of diabetes. For multienzyme complex, take as directed on label with meals. For proteolytic enzymes, take as directed on label between meals.
  • Pycnogenol or grape seed extract (NS Grape Seed Extract 2 caps 2-3 times daily): Contains powerful antioxidants that also enhance the activity of vitamin C and strengthen connective tissue, including that of the cardiovascular system. For either, take as directed on label.

     Home Remedies

Healthy lifestyle choices can help prevent type 2 diabetes. If you've received a diagnosis of prediabetes, lifestyle changes may slow or stop the progression to diabetes.

    A healthy lifestyle includes:

    • Eating healthy foods - Choose foods lower in fat and calories and higher in fiber. Focus on fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
    • Getting active - Aim for 150 or more minutes a week of moderate to vigorous aerobic activity, such as a brisk walk, bicycling, running or swimming.
    • Losing weight - If you are overweight, losing a modest amount of weight and keeping it off may delay the progression from prediabetes to type 2 diabetes. If you have prediabetes, losing 7% to 10% of your body weight may reduce the risk of diabetes.

Avoiding long stretches of inactivity. Sitting still for long periods of time can increase the risk of type 2
diabetes. Try to get up every 30 minutes and move around for at least a few minutes.

    Bio-Energetic Balancing Remedies Suggestions
Several different organs/glands are involved in Blood sugar regulation. Pancreas, Liver, Kidney and Adrenals are the primary areas of concern. Note the areas in the Comprehensive and Baseline that show imbalances. If any of the above show up run scans on them. Use the search criteria and add energies for symptoms and also consider adding the above listed homeopathics. Also add insulin as one of the balancing energies. Imprint the items in the hold tank into a correlating remedy . You may also imprint the laser and target the areas of concern. Note: Changing the diet is a must; Low carb, no processed sugar.
