Blood Sugar / Type 1 Diabetes
If you have type 1 diabetes, your pancreas doesn’t make insulin or makes very little insulin. Insulin helps blood sugar enter the cells in your body for use as energy. Without insulin, blood sugar can’t get into cells and builds up in the bloodstream. High blood sugar is damaging to the body and causes many of the symptoms and complications of diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes was once called insulin-dependent or juvenile diabetes. It usually develops in children, teens, and young adults, but it can happen at any age.
| Symptoms |
People who have type 1 diabetes may also have nausea, vomiting, or stomach pains. Type 1 diabetes symptoms can develop in just a few weeks or months and can be severe. Type 1 diabetes usually starts when you’re a child, teen, or young adult but can happen at any age.
- Urinate (pee) a lot, often at night
- Are very thirsty
- Lose weight without trying
- Are very hungry
- Have blurry vision
- Have numb or tingling hands or feet
- Feel very tired
- Have very dry skin
- Have sores that heal slowly
- Have more infections than usual
|
| Root Causes |
|
Type 1 diabetes is thought to be caused by an autoimmune reaction (the body attacks itself). This reaction destroys the cells in the pancreas that make insulin, called beta cells. This process can go on for months or years before any symptoms appear.
Some people have certain genes (traits passed on from parent to child) that make them more likely to develop type 1 diabetes. However, many of them won’t go on to have type 1 diabetes even if they have the genes. A trigger in the environment, such as a virus, may also play a part in developing type 1 diabetes. Diet and lifestyle habits don’t cause type 1 diabetes.

ESSENTIAL:
-
Alpha-lipoic acid (NS Alpha Lipoic Acid): For treatment of peripheral nerve damage in diabetic patients. Helps control blood sugar levels. Take as directed on label.
-
Chromium picolinate(EQ Chromium Picolinate): Chromium picolinate improves insulin’s efficiency, which lowers blood sugar levels. Caution: If you have diabetes, consult with your physician before taking any supplement containing chromium. For chromium picolinate, take 400–600 mcg daily.
- Garlic: Decreases and stabilizes blood sugar levels. Enhances immunity and improves circulation. Take as directed on label.
-
L-carnitine, plus L-glutamine, plus taurine: L-carnitine mobilizes fat, L-glutamine reduces the craving for sugars, and taurine aids in the release of insulin. For L-carnitine, take 500 mg twice daily, on an empty stomach. Take with water or juice. Do not take with milk. Take with 50 mg vitamin B6 and 100 mg vitamin C for better absorption. For L-carnitine, take 500 mg twice daily on an empty stomach. For L-glutamine, take 500 mg twice daily, on an empty stomach. For taurine, take 500 mg twice daily, on an empty stomach.
- Quercetin (NS Eye Therapy or EQ Quercetin or BL Inflam Redux 2): Helps protect the membranes of the lens of the eyes from accumulations of polyols as a result of high glucose levels. Take 100 mg 3 times daily.
- Raw adrenal glandular, and raw pancreas glandular, and thyroid glandular (NS Endocrine & Pancreas 2 caps 3 times daily): Aids in rebuilding and nourishing these organs. For all, take as directed on label.
- Vanadium (NS Diabetic Formula 2 caps 2-3 times daily): Aids insulin’s ability to move glucose into the cells. Use vanadyl sulfate form. Take as directed on label.
- Vitamin B complex (AI B Complex, EQ B Complex), plus extra biotin (AI Biotin), and inositol (NS Choline & Inositol): The B vitamins work best when taken together. Extra biotin improves the metabolism of glucose and inositol is important for circulation. For vitamin B complex, take 50 mg of each major B vitamin (thiamine and riboflavin) 3 times daily. Amounts of individual vitamins in a complex will vary. Do not exceed 35 mg niacin, 100 mg vitamin B6 , and 1,000 mcg folate daily. For extra biotin, take 50 mg daily. For inositol, take 50 mg daily.
- Vitamin B12 plus folic acid (AI B12Folate): Needed to prevent diabetic neuropathy. Take as prescribed by physician or directed on label.
- Zinc (EQ Zinc): Deficiency has been associated with diabetes.. Take up to 40 mg daily.
VERY IMPORTANT:
- Coenzyme Q10 (EQ COQ10, FGF CoMega) Improves circulation and stabilizes blood sugar For Coenzyme Q10, take 80 mg daily.
- Magnesium (NS Magnesium Complex): Important for enzyme systems and pH balance. Protects against coronary artery spasm in arteriosclerosis. Increases energy levels. Low readings of magnesium are often found in people with diabetes, and are associated with the complications of eye disease. Take up to 350 mg daily.
- Manganese (NS Manganese Plus 2 caps daily): Needed for repair of the pancreas. Also a cofactor in key enzymes of glucose metabolism. Deficiency is common in people with diabetes. Take 5–10 mg daily. Take separately from calcium.

IMPORTANT:
-
Vitamin A (NS Eye Therapy 2 caps 2 times daily): An important antioxidant needed to maintain the health of the eyes. Take up to 3,000 mcg (10,000 IU) daily. If you are pregnant, do not exceed 3,000 mcg (10,000 IU) daily.
-
Vitamin C (NS Liposomal Vitamin C): Deficiency may lead to vascular problems in people with diabetes. Vitamin C may slow or prevent complications that occur in diabetes. Take up to 2,000 mg daily.
-
Vitamin E (EQ Initial E): Improves circulation and prevents complications through its antioxidant properties. Take 90 mg (200 IU) daily.
HELPFUL:
-
Calcium (NS Coral Calcium OR NS Bone Health): Important for pH balance. Always take calcium with vitamin D. The combination at levels near or slightly above the DRI has been shown to prevent diabetes. Take 1,500 mg daily.
-
Multienzyme complex (NS Digestive Enzymes Plus 2 caps with each meal), plus proteolytic enzymes (NS Proteolytic Enzymes 1-2 between meals): To aid digestion. Proper digestion is essential in management of diabetes. For multienzyme complex, take as directed on label with meals. For proteolytic enzymes, take as directed on label between meals.
-
Pycnogenol or grape seed extract( NS Grape Seed Extract 2 caps 2-3 times daily): Contains powerful antioxidants that also enhance the activity of vitamin C and strengthen connective tissue, including that of the cardiovascular system. For either, take as directed on label.

| Bio-Energetic Balancing Remedies Suggestions
|
| Several different organs/glands are involved in Blood sugar regulation. Pancreas, Liver, Kidney and Adrenals are the primary areas of concern. Note the areas in the Comprehensive and Baseline that show imbalances. Run the Pancreas and any other of the above that show imbalances. Use the search criteria; set the type to description and add energies for symptoms and also consider adding the above listed homeopathics by setting the type to Item. Also add insulin as one of the balancing energies. You could also add Beta Cells and pancreas to the hold tank. Imprint the items in the hold tank into a correlating remedy (EQ Pancreapar). You may also imprint the laser and target the areas of concern. Note: Changing the diet is a must; Low carb, no processed sugar. |
