- Drink small amounts of water frequently and you should see most or all of your symptoms subside anywhere from half an hour to three hours.
- Rest
- Limit your alcohol intake
- Wrap ice cubes in a washcloth and apply it to the back of the neck.
- Alternatively, dip a washcloth in ice-cold water and place it on your head for 5 minutes. You can also use a packet of frozen vegetables instead of an ice pack.
- Use essential oils in a massage.
- For tension headaches, place a hot compress on your forehead or the back on your neck to loosen the knotted muscles in this area.
- Soak your feet in hot water to help your head feel better. By drawing blood to your feet, the hot-water footbath will ease pressure on the blood vessels in your head. For a really bad headache, add a bit of hot mustard powder to the water.
- Consume caffeine, Caffeine reduces blood vessel swelling and thus, can help relieve a headache.
- Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is yet another anecdotal remedy for headaches, especially those triggered by poorly regulated blood sugar or sinus problems. Mix 2 teaspoons of ACV in a glass of water, and add some honey and lemon juice to it for better taste. Drink this tonic thrice a day for headache relief.
- Take equal amounts of water and ACV in a pot and bring this mixture to a boil. Then, breathe in the therapeutic vapors to relieve sinus headaches.
- Get adequate rest and sleep for 6–7 hours to avoid sleep deprivation.
Take a bath with warm water. Avoid things that trigger your headache. These may include some drinks, such as red wine, or foods, such as dried fruits with sulfates or certain cheeses. Do not stay hungry. Avoid fasting and eat at regular intervals. Sleep comfortably. Change your bedding or sleeping position if needed. Maintain good posture at all times. Do not strain your eyes. Get an eye checkup and wear prescription glasses if required. Practice meditation to help reduce the incidence of headaches. Exercise regularly. This helps in stress reduction and releases endorphins (your body’s natural pain killers). Exercising also helps you obtain good-quality sleep. Use a mouth guard if you grind your teeth. |

Pressure points for migraines are locations on the body where applying pressure can help relieve headache pain. Some of the most common pressure points for migraines are:
- GB-20 or Wind Pool: On the left and right sides of the base of the skull.
- LI-4 or Joining Valley: At the point where the thumb and index finger join together.
- LU-9: On the inner wrist, on the same side as the thumb.
- SJ-17: On the back of the jawbone, just below the ear.

| Reflexology
|
| To relieve migraine pain, you can try foot reflexology by massaging the Chinese Reflexology point for Migraines. This point is located on the inside of your big toe between the big toe and second toe. To massage this point, use your thumb to press and rub side to side on this area. Start at the tip of your toe and work your way down. If you are experiencing headache or migraine pain on the left side of your head, rub the Chinese Reflexology point on your RIGHT foot and vice versa if it’s on the right side of your head. The reason why you rub the opposite foot is because the energy meridians cross over at the neck and thus, flow through the opposite sides of your head.

| Use the Search Criteria and set the Type to Description and in the search bar type Migraine and scan and add remedies 3-5 times. Also using the Search criteria feature set the Type to Item and add the homeopathic remedies listed above. Imprint into a laser and target the back of the neck and the temples and any other areas with pain. It works even better in my opinion if you put peppermint or lavender on the back of the neck before lasering those areas. If hormonal issues, you may want to add a pituitary scan. |
